Hi! Hello! Good Morning!

Tons of Pep this Morning

Time for a Fabulous Day!

I woke up this morning multiple times eager to get out of bed and get this day started. I kept looking out my window to see if it was light out indicating an appropriate time to get up. By the time I truly was awake it was 6:45 am. I got out of bed without a hint of resistance or lingering sleepiness. G-d had granted me a beautifully peaceful sleep and it seems as if my residual hangover from days of drinking and partying had finally worn off. I woke up this morning with an almost inappropriate amount of pep! So of course my goal is to spread my energy, my enthusiasm, and my lively mood with the masses or at least all of you. So what do I have for you this morning? I am presenting you with an affirmation, a quote, and some fun pictures of things that I love to help you get your days started on an upbeat note.

View of Paris, one of my favorite cities-

I want to get started with an affirmation that focuses on happiness in our lives and our abilities to create it for ourselves.

As I think positive, happy thoughts, my life lightens and brightens.

Crumb's Cupcakes = THE BEST !
This affirmation comes back to my mother's words that I referenced just yesterday- "We are what we think about most." By thinking positively and filling our minds with thoughts of joy and cheer we have the power to alter our days and our lives. Our mindset sets the tone for the entirety of our day and our life. If we have a positive outlook nothing we encounter can get in the way. Lets focus on this affirmation and try to stick with it. If we continue to flood our mind with positive, happy thoughts we can create bright and beautiful lives for ourselves today and every day!

Pooh and Christopher Robin watching the river flow-
Next of course is a quote that I'd like to share with you. I am choosing one of my favorites this morning from the always insightful Winnie-the-Pooh. It doesn't completely fit with my theme but I am choosing to include some of my favorite things this morning to reflect my great mood. I hope you are able to enjoy them as much as I do!

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”

- A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

Cute kittens loving each other !

So although this doesn't completely fit with my general theme this morning, creating happiness and cheer, I of course have figured out a way to make it work. I am lucky enough this morning to be full of energy and life but I know that I am not always blessed with such gifts. Perhaps you are not in the same position as I am at the moment and maybe my mood will not carry on into tomorrow but we will all "get there some day." So even if you're not excited and happy today have no fear because there is always tomorrow. I like this quote because I can turn to in time of need and be assured that things will get better in time. I will reach my goals some day. I will feel fulfilled some day. And I will be content with my life some day. We all strive for these things and desire to achieve them as soon as possible. But perhaps we should take some advice from Winnie-the-Pooh and follow the method of the river. These is no rush to reach all of our desires. Honestly having everything right now seems a little boring. What am I supposed to do and go after once I have achieved everything I have ever dreamed of? Lets calm down, take it slow, and find solace in knowing that we may not have what we want today but we will some day. Lets not mourn over what we have yet to achieve but instead smile at the opportunities that still await us. If you didn't wake up in a fabulous mood and if this entry did not serve its purpose to significantly lift your spirits don't fret because you will awake joyful some day, maybe even tomorrow!

Keep believing that happiness is coming,

xo

"These are a few of my favorite things."

P.S. Don't be afraid to share some of your favorite things with me in the comments section- I'd love to know what helps get you going!

  1. You are so inspiring. I definitely needed this on this less than bright day. Then I open your blog and the sun shines in. One of my favorite things is reading your blog. Also, listening to music in the morning while I'm getting ready for my day some times help sets my mood and can get me going.
